The International H2 Conference Norway gathered national and international delegates on September 12th to explore Norway's latest hydrogen developments. As part of the program, the innovation cluster  Energy Transition Norway organized two technology site visits – one of which brought participants to NORCE Technology Park Risavika in Sola Municipality, home of the Risavika Hydrogen Hub Arena (RHH Arena) project.

A group of 30 participants toured the 14,000 m² technology park, a hub for green innovation where key hydrogen related R&D initiatives such as ColdSpark, Gas2Feed and previously Arda Energy are hosted. During the visit, NORCE announced its ambition to further strengthen Risavika's role as a regional platform for the entire hydrogen value chain.

The RHH Arena initiative aims to connect industry and research partners to advance technology development, build competence, share knowledge, promote industrial symbiosis, and explore market opportunities. Stakeholders were also invited to join the upcoming RHH Arena kick-off meeting in October.

The agenda included presentations from the University of Stavanger on their role in the park's test facilities, as well as contributions from Aberdeen City Council and their newly granted H2 Valley, Kvinesdal Municipality's plans for their energy transition, and Technology company Arda Energy announcing the highly expected commercialization of their cost effective and clean H2 production via biogas. The visit concluded with a guided tour of the facilities, offering delegates a hands-on look at the test- infrastructure that will underpin the region's hydrogen transition.
