Cutting-edge facilities and infrastructure for testing and scaling H2 and CO2 value chains
Based at NORCE Technology Park Risavika, Risavika Hydrogen Hub (RHH) offers one of Norway's most advanced test facilities for hydrogen, CO₂, and natural gas -purpose-built for industrial biotechnology and circular value chains.
Risavika Hydrogen Hub - Arena is a collaborative innovation project driving the green transition in Rogaland!

Researchers and companies can rent space and facilities to test, develop, and scale their own technologies at Risavika Hydrogen Hub. Being part of the park means working alongside other innovators - which opens doors to collaboration, faster development, and industrial scale-up.

Companies testing at Risavika Hydrogen Hub
The facility offers substantial testing capacity for the region, and we host a growing portfolio of projects focused on scaling and validating green technologies. The companies listed below are currently testing - or have recently tested - their solutions at RHH.

Uses biotechnology and microorganisms in gas fermentation to convert CO₂ into proteins that can be used, among other things, as fish feed.

Developing microbial conversion of CO₂ and H₂ into acetone - which can be processed into a wide range of other materials, and which is currently produced from fossil raw materials.

Develops and tests a new plasma reactor for the production of hydrogen and solid carbon with low energy costs without the need for catalysts or water.

NBioC develops technologies to turn Norwegian bio-waste and gas into food, feed, chemicals, and fuel using microbial fermentation.

H2, CCU and CCS research and development activities.
